Is this too specific for a “Best Item"?” Maybe. Who cares? I was completely confused by the concept of this dish. How do you get so much in a croissant? Honestly, this pastry should have it’s own name. The croissant has a unique texture because the banana is baked into the dough. It’s a bit heavier and chewier than what you are used to. But I was sold on the first bite. It’s just an astonishingly tasty baked item. So now when I go to SF, I have to wait in ANOTHER long line because this place is the bomb. And since you waited, grab extras then get a few Kouign Amanns because those are amazing too.
