This is hands down the best Lobster Bisque anywhere. The depth of flavor, the subtle taste of sherry, the generous chunks of lobster….amazing. Lobster Shack is proof that people will pay for amazing food. A mug of this nectar is $13 at a fast casual place. But they line up for the opportunity. The Lobster rolls are the bomb too and their clam chowder. I gave up ordering lobster bisque anywhere else. It’s always a disappointment. I suspect having a HUGE supply of fresh lobster shells to boil down into a reduced broth is part of their secret. Want to avoid the lines? Go to the Portola Valley location. Get a naked lobster roll and a mug of Bisque for $48. You will leave happier than most $500 Michelin star experiences.
